I'm a software consultant that optimizes backend systems. I make APIs snappy, infrastructures that scale adaptively, and databases/queries/users happy! I strongly believe in incremental improvement of existing systems and mentoring peers to ultimately replace me.

I was previously at Truework (first engineer), Swiftype (acquired by Elastic), and Stackfolio (co-founder + acquired by Jack Henry). I've taken networks from thousands to millions of people, transformed multiple products from a laptop to many zeros in revenue, and have grown codebases and teams from one to many.
